Sure does have a bubbling under performance art quality, a voice that will always draw the ears closer to full-on attention. ‘Lady in Waiting’ has charm and intrigue you see and it reminded me of early Kate Bush in the process. So Briana Capote as Fire Affair goes off at tangential arcs from what you’d expect from pop these days and it makes for an exhilarating piece of commercial sound as a result. The kind that might be at cross-purposes from my indie ways but there is something entirely refreshing about what unfolds. That the piece even gets dancey as it reaches a conclusion just illustrates the magnificence of the talent. KH
