A lot of the success of ‘Red Wine’ is down to the silver tongue of that lead singer who has a capacity for swoon that is beyond most of us mere mortals. So on he swoops and soars in that poetic way of his while all around the players add a warmth but also an intricate array of movements to compliment this most romantic of souls. I do believe with the season of goodwill and mirth on the way it is to songs (and alcohol) such as this that we’ll turn to for sustenance. As comforting as can be from Tanner Gray, Colby Wilson and friends of Nashville’s Certainly So. KH
