There is a groove from Toronto’s Brandon Michael that is for sure, one that has a welcome warped kind of psychedelic effect. But that just sets the scene for something that may well be summer themed but which we’ll gladly lap up at the other end of the year. ‘Underwater’ has a sixties mindframe, a dreamy kind of flow that naturally has us bobbing and navigating the water. Makes for one of the cutest kind of lullaby that you are going to hear in 2024. KH
