I got the feeling early on, the trigger warning that ‘Refugee Citizen’ could be a classic of the kind. The 90’s indie rapture sort that is a mass of chiming chords, bloodied percussion and all topped by a singer who leads by example by reaching deep inside his psyche to deliver a performance for the ages. That is imparts a message that the world needs to hear makes it all the more important, this is as angry as hell and it is not going to take it anymore. Of course we get the Velvet Underground’s ‘I’m Waiting For The Man’ but we get a world of directed seething into the bargain. Woah, powerful stuff. KH
