Always loved songs that sound like they are falling down but still bring with them a raging intensity and an adherence to indie pop. I guess you could call it ramshackle but it has to be said that it takes some talent to sound this all over the shop. Brooklyn’s Stripes really get on my good side as a result, lyric sheet as minimal as can be but it hardly matters because there is such surf rock industry happening all around. All came together like a Go! Team tune if they had been fronted by Kirsty MacColl. Probably the reason I love it so completely. KH
