A shuffle for sure, the kind that has something of the slacker acts of the 90’s in there and it had me thinking the Lemonheads for the most part. Perhaps Niall Summerton approaches his work with a bit more vocal introspection but there is an element of grunge to his indie pop sequences. The best thing is that ‘Tear Me Apart’ (which is produced Joel Johnston of Far Caspian) never feels like it is going to run out of gas, always zinging along with a spirit of quiet adventure and it fills us with light and hope as a result.
