About 20 seconds in on ‘Through This Tonight’ does an about turn that I wasn’t expecting at all. And it adds the charm to proceedings as well as introducing us to a singer who we can truly root for. The whole package feels decidedly giddy, a breath of fresh air in a stale industry and the kind that has crossover appeal – the opportunities are endless from indie disco to the wedding of the year. I couldn’t help feeling there is a traditional band at the helm and on this occasion they’ve extended themselves for the benefit of the rest of us. KH
