Lovely Assistant – Mother Mary’s Superposition

Vintage stuff to set the tone and Lovely Assistant keep an easy manner right the way through. This is redolent of Elbow and Badly Drawn Boy for me, aiming for quiet anthemic status with a whole lot in that composition to pull apart or just let it fall as it appears on the speaker. All we’re missing is a big oak tree on a sunshine filled summer’s day to complete the effect of sheer relaxation with this act quietly pulling the ambient strings so that we’re perfectly soothed come the end.
