Josephine Odhil – Empathy

There is so much to absorb. I thought to myself. and we were only 15 seconds in. Yep ‘Empathy’ had an electro pop allure, vocals just as intense as the tightly knit arrangements all around. It felt like the ideal soundtrack for Milan Fashion Week because it leaves the door open for the great and the good to strut their stuff to those beat/synth combos. The best thing though is that there is a chorus that takes the edge off proceedings and gets us into a form of arch dreampop territory. Takes a dedicated follower of their own fashion to achieve that mash-up of styles and it is something to laud from this Amsterdam chanteuse. KH
