There is a calm for sure, it descends thanks to the soft strumming and extenuated with the words as soothing as a frosty morning. In fact that is where Henry Taylour pitches the narrative, a deeply contemplative work with string flourishes to make for a lush and soothing soundtrack. Reminded me of Nick Drake but with contemporary flourishes, what remains though are the doubts that make up the condition of the human psyche – at least for some of us. And here’s the majesty soundtrack for all that troubled mind speak. Beautiful stuff from this Oxfordshire folkster. KH
