It might be slowly turned out but ‘Forget to Lose’ is evocative stuff, the jangle and vocal waltzing moving in time so it could be a brand new take on howling at the moon. Oakland’s Gaia Calista makes things so tunesome it feels like we’re wrapped up in her forlorn misgivings. So what we get is a modern slow set, a chance to grab a partner by the hand and entwine in the beauty of someone who is clearly taking another to task. And there will only be one winner, aside from those us in the gallery swaying to the quiet majesty of ‘Forget To Lose’. KH
