Dr. Rocket – Haven’t I Seen Your Face Before?

It could be lo-fi or could be shaping up for a go at the Beach Boys and so it proved that Dr. Rocket (Nick Carver) have the stock of harmonies to cultivate that East Coast sound. This is charming stuff, full of endeavour and invention so just when you think you know ‘Haven’t I Seen Your Face Before?’ out pops a little sideshow like an electronic wiggle, a jangling break and lots more beside. This is refreshingly nostalgic pop from the Seattle based artist and the kind that can’t but add a shot of happiness and contentment to all within earshot. KH
