Sure does have a slacker consistency, slowcore too so we’re given time and space to appreciate the subtle jangle and vocal subtlety before Cork’s Pebbledash well and truly flex their muscles. This is dreamy stuff, a love song that offers up more than ambience to a degree that it goes full post-rock on us. They may be named after a rough exterior wall coating but it is their inner fire that truly sets Pebbledash apart. Reminded me of the great lost JJ72, but also Sonic Youth circa ‘Washing Machine’ and towards the end the fiercesome end of Los Campesinos! Beautiful. KH
