Mt. Misery – Waking Up

Hartlepool’s Mt. Misery take us back to peak 90’s indie pop on ‘Waking Up’ so we were preparing ourselves for plenty of Teenage Fanclub harmonies and various forms of swoonsome off-kilter asides (the synths). Thankfully they didn’t let us down because there is a sunshine glow every step of the way on this cherubic ditty of theirs. Of course it sound familiar but why tinker with a winning formula and especially in the hands of an act who know how to extract as much sucrose possibility in under 3 minutes as possible. KH
