Lynn Rosenblood – Wolfcry

Must admit to liking the way the chords twinkled like little stars in that opening sequence. Means we’re more attuned to Lynn Rosenblood’s direct approach when her words emerged at close quarters. ‘Wolfcry’ curiously reminded me of Lou Reed (and then Bic Runga) for there is a form of spoken word to it, but this track has been generated with a rare tenderness and it feels loose and unencumbered like there was little afterthought and was left as it recorded first time around. Little is known of this LA act but then she lets the music do the talking. KH
