There is fantastical quality to Oslo’s Yndling and it means that songs like ‘Make Me Want You’ (from her debut album ‘Mood Booster’) has the ability to spirit us away from the blandom of every day life. The vocals lead the parade of dreamy sequences in a manner that has a Men I Trust and St. Etienne resonance (though I also heard Bjork, Mew and New Order) but they also have a post-rock like barrage of chords to mix things up too. ‘Make Me Want You’ is an immersive piece of dream rock to have us toasting these peak summer days in the best possible fashion.
