Shady Cove – Midwest

Portland duo Shady Cove describe themselves as defiantly optimistic and their chiming jangle on ‘Midwest’ pretty much proves it. In fact we’re assured of something of the dreampop variety every time when it comes to this act. And given the summer months are peaking it is to songs like this we turn too, lovely harmonies delivered in a sepia-tinged manner so everyone feels its warm glow. ‘Midwest’ spirits along, syncing up with the chipper mood of the season and in fact adding even more sparkle to proceedings as it goes.
