‘Someone Else’s Song’ has a way about it that suggests that it could have made it onto a Sergio Leone soundtrack if they were still being made today. That is because there is a pistols at dawn feel about the track, also a ring of the White Stripes because Inspector 34 issue the naked truth in both the words and the gunslinging chords. Rare you get such rhapsody on record, more in concert when the visceral possibilities are readily available, but this song feels like something primal, guttural, nutty and completely contagious. KH
