Art Gecko – Sunburn

They are the kind of act that have the capacity for pulling the rug from under us, the way ‘Sunburn’ started out all demure before jetting off on its bubbly effervescent way. So we get jangle and surf and all things summery and nice in a package of delights that has a running time that might be testing for some but the ideas pour forth endlessly. Reminded me of Finnish act Cats on Fire who were similarly flush with chiming moments and ingenious ways to deploy them. Quite the adventure from this Seattle troupe then, fleet of foot and dexterous of mind it is just too fantastical to turn down. KH
