Xan Tyler – Ziggy

I have it down as an Atari sound, early 8-bit football with paddles a go-go. But the Xan Tyler goes on to offer a whole lot more, the kind to sync with our ‘Tide is High’ Blondie fixation but you could expand it Lily Allen and even St. Etienne. But it was to Debbie Harry that I kept on returning to with ‘Ziggy’ offering up all sorts of holiday vibes that feels like the perfect moment in high summer to pour a drink during the working week and not feeling in the least bit guilty about it. ‘Ziggy’ nails the sense of unbridled freedom we need to be reminded of every now and then. Breath easy because Fife’s Xan Tyler is going to fix everything. KH
