Ohr – Afterglow

You know this could have easily being Vangelis back in the day such is the electronic pioneering in Ohr’s (Craig Klein of the Race) approach. ‘Afterglow’ definitely aims for a more groovetastic approach though, dancefloor filling and for me something Spectrum and Spacemen 3 in direction. In other words I wouldn’t have been surprised if Jason Pierce was at the controls but instead of floating in space he wanted to swagger like it was peak Madchester all over again. Yep, ‘Afterglow’ is exactly my vintage from this Chicago groove – a trip with all the upsides and none of the inevitable comedown. KH
