Claire Brooks – Slowly Towards the Door

I felt like kicking back even if the temperatures are dropping according to LA’s Claire Brooks but she is operating in a Cat Power ‘Sea of Love’ kind of aura so it is hard to feel anything other than a warm generosity of spirit. It’s all wrapped up in 90 seconds but ‘Slowly Towards The Door’ leaves a subtle mark and we need little folk ditties like this to offer a stability and an illustration that life in the slow lane every now and then is the best medicine.
