Art Gecko – Bad Omen

There is a tweeness to Art Gecko’s sound that is kindly to my ears at least, reminding of early Belle & Sebastian among others especially when the brass kicks in and it feels like we’ve been transported back to a more innocent time. And I always value a song that flashes by so quickly for these 3 minutes feel precisely half that and I put that down to the craft of the band. A singer who rides atop the instrumental pleasantries and the combination is a jig of delight set to music. Summer vibes aplenty from this Seattle troupe. KH
