Soft Self Portraits – Departures

It has me thinking Band of Horses I must admit, that feint of melancholy and longing so you know Soft Self Portraits (Cody Wade) are cradling something broken deep inside. They effect it in a soft ambient style and one that makes for an empathetic opus for the rest of us to a degree that we’re allowed to get lost in our own train of heartbreak. There are harmonies wherever you look too so the haunted side of this track has plenty of counterbalance. I could see how Fleet Foxes fans will find plenty here to soothe. KH
