Lozenge – Aubrey Plaza

I’d have it pinpointed to May 1994 and that is because I remember a walk I took around that time with a walkman and cheap headphones and that feeling of being blown away by ‘Siamese Dream’. The production was huge and I was reminded of it on ‘Aubrey Plaza’ because Leeds Lozenge sure do pack a big punch in its deployment. Crucially they include a melodic aspect too so all that feedback and crescendo has a counterpoint while hardly denting the sense of fury and urgency and being stuck between two jet engines. That of course means all things glorious. KH
