Sounds like JW Francis has afforded us a glimpse into his wondrous imagination (or an insight into his time in the woods on the Appalachian Trail), where electronics are like the birds and the bees in a endless hurry to make sweet music. But all done in such an idiosyncratic way that feels like nothing that has gone on before so ‘Treasure’ might be enough to bamboozle some with its routes off into virgin territory. But if you’re ok with diversions aplenty and with the carrot of a chorus that makes it all worthwhile then this is chest full of sparkling bullion. I bought it because I need gold in my life. KH
