This is intimate stuff, a swoon of a love song that has folk and chamber pop as its guiding lights. And we are guided here for sure because William Clapson shows us the way in a lush production that reminded me most of Ron Sexsmith (and Elbow to a degree). It had a glassy-eyed effect, wonder and goodness to a degree that it makes one want to be a better person. The strings help of course but the real joy comes from a singer with a spring of hope in his heart and in such bountiful supplies he can afford to share it around to the rest of us. KH
