Great Klons – Twilight Gardener

The first thing that struck me was that Pavement had reconvened and here was their sparkling return to action. Great Klons have that alt rock quality you see, they also have the songwriting gifts to go with it and ‘Twilight Gardener’ is a triumph of indie-rock and slacker jangle proportions. In other words our kind of twinkle, sweetness abounds but always retaining a certain aloofness apart from at a chorus where there is likely to be much hand-holding to make good on the romantic aura generated. Scott Klon just has this sound so perfectly down. KH
