The Willful Deaf – The End of the Sun

A playful kind of jangle that has its own ideas on how to wander creatively so ‘End of the Sun’ could have carried on in that vein for further minutes if had wanted to. The Willful Deaf have other plans however and it means a more percussive and baggy dimension is what we are served up. It all reminds me of Django Django and that is very much a good thing, chorus and all and for the first time this year it feels we have summer music festival anthem incoming. Yep, our kind of scene and the kind of groove that will stand up to repeat plays because it just has a nose for reinventing itself time and again. A really fine effort from Matthew John Watts. KH
