Nancy Whitaker – Don’t You Know We’re See Through

Yes there is confusion to that opening, a bit of Pavement going on for sure but all that slacker appears to be of the low-ebbed kind so I was extending my ear. Thankfully Nancy Whitaker see fit to open things out and proceedings feel more like what we’d hope they’d be. So it might be that the listener is charged with working for it, with returns that are more than worth it because there is invention at every turn on ‘Don’t You Know We’ll See It Through’ and the denouement is a proper rollicking good time. A hint of Blur and Damon Albarn in particular says we’re in the realm of greatness here. KH
