The way the beats present themselves we know we are in company that will charge our inner fire, confirmed by a singer who rides atop all the baggy action and is capable of resorting to cooing when the words just don’t offer enough. A proper kind of 90’s amalgamation but boasting a vitality that could only have come from a troupe with the vigour to turn things in their own image. Boston’s Little Miss Echo have crafted an anthem here, one with the kind of propulsion and sense of destiny that reminds me of the forgotten shoegaze dreaming greats Chapterhouse – in fact this could be a follow up to their classic ‘Pearl’.
