Las Nubes – Pesada

My oh my it is dirty riffology alright, the kind that has us deep inside the belly of industrial structures wherein the machines are not quite purring but they are throttling along at the same time. Where the real surprise arrives is in the girl-group vocals which completely change the complexion of ‘Pesada’ from deep in your chest rock to lightening the load considerably. And it is a heady mix as a result, a combination of sweet and undiluted sour that works fantastically to get our blood pumping. A rare thing, a noisy surprise with a tender heart. A three-piece from Miami who might yet save the day. KH
