Spurts – Jeff Tweedy

Oakland’s Spurts do have the punk aesthetics about them and while you’d never have Wilco in such company that doesn’t stop Jeff Tweedy from hollowing out our insides when it decides to go nuclear here. There is of course some slacker qualities, alt 90’s and plenty of room for an instrumental break which is really in essence the denouement of a piece that is all wrapped up within 2 minutes. How quaint, how clever and how amenable we were to the Spurts way of being. KH
