Nat Harvie does have us torn, one part of me has a slowed down heartbeat because of all that thoughtful wordage but all the while dancing feet are encouraged because percussion aspects bounce about the place with abandonment. And then what to do with instrumental sections that appear out of the blue and seem intent in evoking a Paris basement jazz venue. Seems that ‘Red ‘is just toying with us but this is an experiment worth experiencing because the way it falls together and apart at the same time feels like genius. Nat was joined on ‘Red’ by Alan Sparhawk of Low so you just know there was going to be aural scene to remember. KH
