Jack Manley – Save Your Own

It rather bursts into a plume of indie rockness in a most melodic of ways. So we get the rough and the smooth and it feels like a potent combination because Jack Manley knows how to pull the strings that mixes heavy percussive elements with that sky high soaring singing voice of his. ‘Save Your Own’ sure put a pep in my step, coming across like a top Brendan Benson effort and for me that is the strongest aspect of the song – it has the ring of an anthem but never one that gets in the way of a damn good tune. A rollicking few minutes that I know we are going to return to time and again. KH
