Dobré – Like A Hammer

The kind of bass that reminds of Peter Hook and ‘Like A Hammer’ isn’t all that removed from all out New Order at times but Dobré have their own ace up their sleeve and it comes in the shape of a singer who has that all things to all people kind of style. Reminded me of Bruce Springsteen and we’re talking peak era when he truly was the Boss. Throw in a bit of the Killers/George Harrison and this track manages to marry an anthemic quality with an evocative tone so there may be tears along the way. Chest thumping stuff from this powerful Munich act. KH
