Tobias Arbo – Recover

A most beautiful and shimmering opening, folk and jangling and full of bright-eyedness. So 20 seconds in and I was almost convinced by this Swedish folkster, especially when the Ron Sexsmith/Jose Gonzalez vocals added the grace of falling snow. And on and on did the wooing process continue, a most simple of arrangement but with the kind of additions here and there that foster that feeling of wonder. Yes ‘Recover’ is something restorative alright but also something that brings a bundle of joy for those who just want a few minutes worth of sweetener in their day. More boxes ticked than you’d find in an amazon fulfillment center. KH
