The Entrepreneurs – Ether

The bar has been set when it comes to the Entrepreneurs so at a minimum we expect fireworks. A sonic hand-wringing is what we get this time coming out of (the) ‘Ether’ and it all reminded me of old school Ride, that sense of moody guitar behaviour with melodic vocal interchanges to add an allure if the noise and percussion feels overwhelming. This is a departure from the usual lines of indie-rock in 2024 but it is why we love this Copenhagen act. They go beyond the pale and in the process give us reason to be hopeful for alt rock in the process. KH
