Stella Starfox – Lost in the Lips Pt. 2

Had me back in a time when Lemon Jelly were adept at filling the gap and ‘Lost in the Lips Pt. 2’ has a similar electronic manner if slightly more woozy in the extremity of its topicality. The temperance comes in a set of singers and electronic conjurors from Providence who have words to the wise and done in a most folky by the fireside manner. The effect is alluring, this is different kind of fare – off-kilter but not without the soothing qualities you’d expect from a song with oodles of substance. Stella Starfox are in exploration mode here and it makes for an exciting roadmap of possibilities. KH
