Spurts – Easy For You

Yes they sure do fit into our narrow view of how the world should work, in short with all manner of cherubic indie rock qualities that would have Teenage Fanclub fans in the grip of peak joy. The playing has a decidedly slacker quality, the vocals full of neat harmonies and the whole effect is of ‘Easy for You’ feeling like it might fall apart at any minute. Yep, ramshackle rock at its finest and with an alt country leaning Spurts become the kind of band that offer up opportunities to drink beer and not feel guilty about the pursuit. KH
