Now there is definitely something of a gloom to this faults. song, ironic given the title but then this is an act designed to go against the grain. And KC Dahlehan sure does achieve it on this off-kilter, near wonky, effect that has something of the Cure about it but also a rising approach to uplifting as it goes (I also heard plenty of Massive Attack). ‘Sweets’ draws us in, immersion comes next and then when we’ve been brainwashed by its way of operation we’ll believe that all songs need to follow faults. lead and just go with their idiosyncratic instinct. An absolute mint listen. KH
