The Amazing – Antichrist

‘Antichrist’ has an ever so dreamy entrance but spotting that it is the Amazing clears things up, in other words we’d expect a gush of shimmering as standard with this Swedish band’s work. The piece stays just below anthemic state, percussive quality affording a groove but this is more a set of dreamy sequences than dedicated stomp. A folk quality emerges too that harks back to the sixties and Midlake and the whole effect is of a soothing sonic aroma occupying our frayed head.
