Tan Cologne – Baja

‘Baja’ sure does pulse with a dream pop finesse and that is even before the vocals emerge all light and in the near distance so it makes no sense to attempt to try to work out what is being said. But no matter because New Mexico’s Tan Cologne’s (Lauren Green and Marissa Macias) song is all about a feeling, a departure from the fuss and noise of modern life for something a lot more quaint and ambient. We’d expect nothing less from one of our favourite labels Labrador so we acceded to ‘Baja’s desires and just drifted along under the guidance of its soft allure. KH
