Graze – The War Between Us

Felt like Graze had us out west and with the horizon stretched in front of us this could be 5 minutes designed for serious thinking. ‘The War Between Us’ certainly moves beyond the loud sound of this band that we had come to expect, but in training it in a little we got to hear what a potent force they were. There is a post-rock constituency to the whole affair, a powerful pre-storm rumination that rises and falls between the guitar solos. Graze have put their hearts on the line and I for one felt like it enabled a stronger connection to the music as a result. Cinematic stuff, the swooping and soaring doing all the right kind of things to stoke our bloodied imaginations. KH
