A proper piece of giddy pop, sounded very Paul McCartney to me I must admit but there is a psychedelic and wonky approach at times which gives ‘Secrets’ more than an essence of individuality. What is clear to me is that there is a fine songwriter, Boston’s Derek Miller on his maiden voyage, at the helm too because Chaft chose the non-conventional approach in what is an endlesslt catchy work – an unusual combination but one that means we’ll be rewarded on return trips. A hint of ELO, that kind of sixties ambition coming about in a neat and tidy sub 3 minute colourful performance. KH
