Thom Southern – Hey What’s Happenin?

Hits ever so hard, riffs a firing and in a manner that has a Dandy Warhols circa ‘Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia’ sweep about it (but you could also make a case for Primal Scream too). So we get a rock tundra but done with a eye for psychedelia too. ‘Hey What’s Happenin?’ is all over in a shot, so much so that we are pressed into repeating the dose over and over. And the prime reason being that Belfast’s Thom Southern has supplied us with an absolute blast, one where the new year cobwebs are eradicated and in the process we’re gifted with under two minutes of uncompromised fiery fare.
