The Usual Boys – Another Wasted Day

Oh the romance of it all, a languid presentation that has a moody backdrop and a singer with a hangdog constantly disappointed way of being. But he has a charm all the same, Berlin’s the Usual Boys there to blow the lid to a degree that we felt like we were in prime slacker rock nineties stylee. And that does the heart good even if the character at the core of this piece is down on his luck and can’t even find stones to kick aimlessly to while away the day. Not sure how they’ve achieved it but ‘Another Wasted Day’ got under my skin and I didn’t want it to leave. Who would have thought melancholy could be this attentive to our needs. KH
