Some People – Fire Warning

No doubting the off-kilter stroll of ‘Fire Warning’ and English duo Some People (Orson Fry and Callum Dearden) sure do show us a good time in a manner that is very much their own design. It is almost as if languid was the approach that was decided upon given the slow and relaxed momentum. There is some considerable charm it must be said, singing that reminded me of Thomas Landers out of Tap Tap and playing designed to get us tuned into a modern day rock waltz. Too good to turn down, the flitting brass just one more indication of the knowing qualities of this constantly foraging act. KH
