Moontwin – Symbols

What first hit me, or rather brushed against me was the pastoral qualities of ‘Symbols’. I mean we are talking nursery rhyme like, aided and abetted by tropical steel guitars and many forms of acoustic renderings to add just enough sway to Maple Bee’s tender words. Together with Zac Kuzmanov they form Moontwin and if ‘Symbols’ shows us anything it is that things are better said in a manner that is unhurried, delivered in a hushed quality that will suit those about to drift off into the most wholesome of romantic thought. ‘Symbols’ just levitates like down on a warm day, soothing as it goes and offering up the best possible guide rope for another year that will be ablaze with busyness before we know it.
