Mallcops – Tightrope

A slow kind of progression but then individuals on tightropes do tend to have that particular characteristic in their locker. Mallcops keep things interesting and slacker as they go however, neat chord/vocal clambering along on a tide of melancholy movements. There is change afoot mind you and it comes rather unexpectedly in a second minute which sees tables and chairs upturned as Jekyll makes way for Hyde. It really added something altogether winning to the piece, a song with an alter ego that is just the thing for indie nostalgists like I. A Boston band with a purity who are willing to tear up the script until it resembles a chaos filled falling apart piece of majesty aural origami. KH
